The Noble Rebels were invited to perform for the “Days Between” concert series presented by Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua, NY. This series celebrates the music of Jerry Garcia. So I put together three sets loaded with deep-cuts. Exploring his music beyond the Grateful Dead including solo repertoire, collaborations with David Grisman, Jerry Garcia Band, and more. I invited the indomitable Perry Cleaveland to join with his Mandocaster. Plus the core band featuring Dave Richman (lead guitar), Doug Henrie (upright bass), and James Ralls (drums).

The Days Between is a special time of year for anyone who feels a connection to the music of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. The nine-day period between Garcia’s birthday on August 1 and the anniversary of his passing on August 9 has become an opportunity for musicians and fans to celebrate the remarkable body of music he left behind. In 2026, Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua presented The Days Between Concert Series, bringing eight concerts to the Finger Lakes over nine days and featuring an eclectic mix of artists exploring the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead through bluegrass, reggae, jam, Americana, roots, and beyond.

The Noble Rebels were honored to be part of that lineup on Sunday, August 2, with a special set celebrating the music of Jerry Garcia. Lincoln Hill Farms is a 95-acre farm and event venue just outside Canandaigua, surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Finger Lakes. Its outdoor concert grounds combine the character of a working farm with purpose-built spaces for live music, including a stage, pavilion, gardens, pond, and Silo Bar. Weather ultimately moved our performance from the farm to Lincoln on Main in downtown Canandaigua, but the spirit of the evening remained firmly connected to The Days Between: a gathering of musicians and listeners celebrating Garcia’s music, the improvisational tradition he helped cultivate, and the enduring sense of community surrounding it.
