Thank you for visiting my website lonegonzo.com. My name is Michael Gonzalez (aka #LoneGonzo) and I am a musician, teacher, designer, and community organizer based in New York state. I perform for over 200 public and private events each year.

As the founder of FLIMA (Finger Lakes Independent Music Alliance) I curate music programs for schools, organizations, senior centers, community, and workshops [flima.org]. I teach private and group music lessons through Ostaga Music Co-op. And I am the artistic director and co-founder of the Geneva Jazz Festival & Scott Lafaro celebration [genevajazzfestival.com].

Lone Gonzo

I have been a full-time musician for over 25 years. My career has taken me all over the North America performing, composing, teaching, and studying music. Of the more than 200 performances a year, solo engagements make up the majority of them.

WhorlWood

WhorlWood is a dynamic acoustic project founded by songwriter, guitarist Michael George Gonzalez. The core trio features SAMMY Award winning artist Perry Cleaveland (mandolin + fiddle) and Doug Henrie (upright bass). For some performances they are joined by percussionist Steve Imburgia.

Gonztet

The Gonztet is a jazz ensemble founded by guitarist and composer Michael George Gonzalez. They specialize in performing jazz standards, swing, sambas, bossa novas, blues, and the great American songbook.

Stargroove

Stargroove is a powerhouse dynamic band playing funk, fusion, reggae, and jam music. The rhythm section features drum kit, electric bass, and percussion for a high-energy danceable performance.

The Noble Rebels

MG & The Noble Rebels brings a high-energy performance stacked with roots rock, country blues, rockabilly, western swing, and folk punk. Led by guitarist and composer Michael George Gonzalez.

Island Time

An eclectic acoustic beach party band founded by Michael George Gonzalez (ukulele + vocals). This quartet plays music inspired by the beaches of Hawaii, Caribbean, and Brazil.

SolPhi

SolPhi is a new project being developed by songwriter and composer Michael George Gonzalez. Their has elements of neo-soul, jazz, house, and latin music.
