About Michael

Michael George Gonzalez (aka LoneGonzo) is seasoned performer, musician, bandleader, and educator based in central New York state.

A singer-songwriter steeped roots, jazz, folk, blues, and world music. A strong improvisor weaving together rhythmic accompaniment and lead line, with a distinct smokey voice that makes each performance engaging and unique.

Michael is a trained composer with over 25 years experience as a performer, bandleader, and music educator. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the annual Geneva Jazz Festival-Scott Lafaro Celebration. And the co-founder of Finger Lakes Independent Music + Arts (FLIMA).
