Gonzo Music provides patient private music lessons in downtown Geneva, New York. Learn music from experienced performer, composer, and educator in Michael George. He has been performing since age eight, starting on voice and trumpet, then progressing to stringed instruments and song writing. In college he studied music composition with a minor in jazz performance. This combination of education and professional experience give him unique perspectives on teaching music.

For the past eighteen years Michael George has performed, toured, and taught all over North America. Now based in the heart of the Finger Lakes where he writes, performs, and teaches a variety of instruments including voice, guitar, ukulele, mandolin, bass, percussion and more. He also teaches a wide variety of music topics including songwriting, chord/scale theory, improvisation, music anatomy, and arranging. Lessons are tailored to the unique interests, goals, and learning style of each student. This customized approach ensures each student gets the most out of their lessons.

Lessons and practice assignments are tailored to each student’s individual goals, abilities, and learning style. While musical concepts stay the same, the way that each person grasps them is unique. I develop a customized approach to get the student on the right musical path. I teach private voice lessons and a variety of instruments. In addition I teach music related topics that are no instrument specific: songwriting, music theory, ear training, composition, improvisation, rhythm, harmony, and melody.
