WhorlWood Returns for Memorial Day

We’re thrilled to return for the 2025 edition of the “Celebrate and Commemorate” festivities in May. This annual event is to honor Memorial Day where it all began in Waterloo, NY. There will be music, food, vendors, reenactments, activities, and family fun all weekend long.

WhorlWood will perform at Oak Island park on Saturday, May 24 from 6:15-9:15PM leading up to the fireworks display. Listen for the cannon blast to know when the fireworks are about to begin.

WhorlWood is an acoustic group founded in 2016 by songwriter and guitarist Michael George Gonzalez. They group performs original music with flavors of folk, roots, jazz, traditional, and world music.
