WhorlWood returns to Zugibe Vineyards for an afternoon show this Sunday, April 21 from 1-4:00PM. This dynamic acoustic trio features some of the best regional acoustic musicians playing music infused with roots, blues, jazz, folk, and world music with an emphasis on original songs written by Michael Gonzalez.
Featuring Sammy Award winner Perry Cleaveland (mandolin) and Doug Henrie (upright bass).
About Gonzo
Michael “LoneGonzo” Gonzalez’s sultry voice and astute guitar playing always deliver a dynamic, engaging show. His original music is infused with elements of roots, jazz, folk, soul, blues, rock, reggae, funk and world music. He’s worked as a professional musician for over 20 years — writing, teaching, and performing throughout the United States. The founder of the FLIMA Alliance which advocates for musicians and curates special programs and community events. He’s also the co-founder and artistic director of the Geneva Jazz Festival.
About Zugibe Vineyards
In June of 2005, on the banks of Seneca Lake, Zugibe Vineyards began as 23 acres of vinifera wine grapes. Since then, it has grown to 40 acres, comprising 11 different varietals, including Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Merlot, Lemberger, Sauvignon Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The goal of Zugibe Vineyards has always remained constant: to produce innovative, complex, and delicious wines. We want to share our passion, knowledge, and beautiful location overlooking Seneca Lake with all our guests!
