I’ve been working around the clock on the 2nd annual Geneva Jazz Festival + Scott Lafaro Celebration (April 4-7, 2024). This is event is a passion project not only rooted in my love of jazz music, but also my appreciation of history. And the pride I feel for my (current) home city Geneva, NY. I serve as the Artistic Director of the event and it’s produced through a partnership between my organization the FLIMA Alliance and FLX Music 247.
I was interviewed about it by veteran journalist Louise Broach, for a feature in our regional newspaper The Finger Lakes times. It’s a lot of work and late nights handling all the design, promotions, and logistics for the festival. But these moments remind me what a special thing we’re creating and how proud I am to be a part of it.
